Tractoring For Women In The Adelaide Hills & Fleurieu

A report released by Farmsafe Australia found that tractors were involved in 20 per cent of the fatal accidents on farms in 2022. Statistics like this and requests from female clients over the past few years, lead to the development of our Tractoring For Women course.

If you own a small acreage farm or property in the Adelaide Hills or Fleurieu Peninsula, and you’re not as confident with your tractor as you’d like to be, this Tractoring For Women course has been created for you.

Our inaugural event was held on May 11, 2023, and was a raging success with demands for new dates to be arranged.

We are also proud to announce that we have been awarded one of three 2023 SafeWork SA Augusta Zadow awards, which recognised programs that improved workplace safety for women and young people.

We are currently reflecting on how to expand the program and roll out training programs across Australia with the support of tractor manufacturers and retailers.

In the half-day session (we’re also considering a full day session in the future), we help you cover the basics, get some experience in a tractor, and show you some techniques for helping you to get more out of your tractor, safely.

One-On-One Tractoring For Women Training

We have also developed a One-On-One Tractoring For Women session, which women can buy to have Belle Baker spend half a day with them on their tractor, to get up to speed quickly.

It’s been designed especially for women taking delivery of new tractors and some tractor dealerships might even consider buying or subsidising this special course to help you get the most from your tractor, safely!
